Södra orders CLT plant from Ledinek for Värö

28.11.2017 −

Almost two months after the announcement of plans to add a cross-laminated timber (CLT) production plant to the Värö facility, Swedish Södra has awarded the contract for supplying the plant to Slovenian Ledinek Engineering. The order covers the whole production line from the feeder and sorting station to the finger-jointing unit, gluing station, and the press through to the CNC processing section.

Although the capacity of the plant, which Södra says is intended to be a pilot project for its debut in the CLT market, is only 5,000 m³ per year in single-shift operation, plans have already been made for an extension. The works is scheduled to be put into service in May 2019.
