Ksilotek-Siberia commissions third pellet press

08.01.2020 −

Russian Ksilotek-Siberia has successfully completed the 72-hour test run of the third pellet press installed at the Lesosibirsk site. According to a statement published by superordinate Segezha Group (Segezha), a second drum dryer and a furnace designed for a capacity of 4.5 MWth are currently being installed at the site to supply the heat required for drying.

The press, designed for a capacity of 4.5t/h or 30,000t ENplus A1 pellets/year, was supplied by Dutch CPM Europe. The order for the supply of the machinery was placed with Estonian machinery manufacturer Hekotek AS as general contractor. Hekotek also supplied the drum dryer. Swedish Bruks is supplying the furnace as well as the chipper.

Hekotek had already been the general contractor for the first production line, which was com-missioned in November 2018, and had provided a drum dryer. At that time, CPM Europe had supplied two pellet presses for this line. Together with the two existing pellet plants, which can produce 70,000t/year, the total capacity at the site is increasing to around 100,000t ENplus A1 pellets/year.
