Hanse Haus intends to build another plant from 2022

Prefabricated housing manufacturer Hanse Haus plans to build a further prefabricated housing production facility from 2022 onwards. The facility, which from then will run under the name plant IV, is to be located on the site of the current hardwood sawmill Philipp Vorndran the direct vicinity of plant I in Oberleichtersbach. Vorndran had announced at the end of October that is intending to cease business operations at the end of 2021. According to Hanse Haus, some smaller plots of land have already been acquired from Vorndran and a purchase option for the majority of the business premises has been agreed for January 2022.

In its investment plan for 2021/2022, Hanse Haus has budgeted a sum of approximately €30m for the expansion of production capacity. In addition to the planned technical expansion, Hanse Haus intends to hire a further 119 employees as early as the end of this year. On average, around 750 workers and 65 apprentices will be employed during 2020.
