Brambles concludes sales of US pallet business

10.04.2018 −

A good month after the announcement by the Australian Brambles that it was planning to sell its North American pallet-recycling activities performed by CHEP Recycled Pallet Solutions (CHEP Recycled) to Grey Mountain Partners the transaction was concluded on 14 February. The sale, announced in August last year and then concretised on 8 January, was still subject to the usual official approvals but these have been received in the meantime.

The sale covers 73 facilities with a combined total of some 2,400 employees. The other 88 service centres of CHEP Recycled with roughly 1,600 employees, which largely handle the pooling business in North America, remain under the ownership of Brambles, however, and continue to run under the name of CHEP North America.
