Arensis takes over pellet works from Verdo Renewables

22.09.2017 −

The US company Arensis of Los Angeles, California, active in mains-independent power supply and waste recycling, took over the Grangemouth pellet works in Scotland from the British pellet producer and pellet merchant Verdo Renewables Ltd. of Andover at the end of August 2017. Arensis told “The Herald” newspaper that the takeover of facility, geared to a capacity of 60,000 tpy of pellets and 10,000 tpy of briquettes, is part of a L50m investment plan by Arensis in the UK. Arensis currently already operates 185 smallerscale mains-independent biomass plants in the UK.

Besides Grangemouth, Verdo Renewables also operates another pellet works in Andover, put into service in 2011, with a production capacity similar to that of Grangemouth.
