Sonae Industria reclassified a number of activities in France and Spain as discontinued operations at the end of 2014. The assets in question are two mills in Auxerre and Montchanin-Le Creusot sold to the Kronospan group in April 2014, the last MDF mill run by French Isoroy in Ussel, a particleboard mill in Linxe that does business as Darbo, a laminate flooring facility in Pontecaldelas that closed in the third quarter of 2014 and a rigid fibreboard mill in Betanzos. These assets contributed €102m to consolidated group revenues of €1.117bn in 2014. These mills had incurred losses of €74m. These losses were split into a net loss of €36m and impairment charges of €38m. The bulk of these impairment charges (€34m) related to French locations, with the two Spanish mills accounting for the remaining €4m.
