Polish Pfleiderer Grajewo-group, which is part of the Pfleiderer concern, last year invested a total of PLN113.6m, the equivalent €27.1m. Of that sum, PLN43.3m were accounted for in the first half of the year and PLN70.3m in the second six months. Over the whole year, Pfleiderer Grajewo spent PLN57.5m, roughly 24% more than the planned amount of PLN46.3m. Investment at Pfleiderer Prospan accounted for PLN38.0m, close to the amount of PLN36.9m which had been budgeted. In contrast, at the thin-panel plant trading as Pfleiderer MDF several projects were postponed, including the setting-up of a new lacquering line. For that reason, instead of the planned PLN26.9m of investments last year, only PLN7.8m were spent. At the resin producer Silekol the investment budget of PLN4.1m was exceeded, with investments totalling PLN10.4m.
