Methanol contract price slightly lower in the second quarter

Negotiations to determine the methanol contract price for the second quarter of 2024 dragged on until shortly before Easter. Following initial settlements, the price was fixed at €490/t FOB Rotterdam on 28 March. The contract price was thus €5 lower than the first quarter’s price of €495.
