Homag is to supply Swedwood with a second reacTec unit during the fourth quarter of 2012. The first plant had now been installed at an unnamed Swedwood location in Poland. The machinery ordered by Swedwood in the fourth quarter of 2011 marks Homag’s first reference projects for the reacTec technology, which was developed together with Henkel and Nordson. The process was first showcased at the Homag Treff exhibition in autumn 2010. At that time, Homag had expected to sell its first prototype to a pilot user in the fourth quarter of 2010. Homag initially blamed delays on high volatility in investing in new laminating machinery. At the Homag Treff 2012, which took place from 25 to 28 September, the firm also stated that businesses interested in this technology were waiting for the first production plants to be commissioned.
