Alex Gambroudes is relinquishing his position as CEO of Bergs Timber UK as of March 31. Jonny Andersson, currently Softwood Director at Bergs Timber UK, will lead the company on an interim basis as CEO until a successor to Gambroudes is appointed. Gambroudes will be available until the end of April to accompany the handover.
Gambroudes changed from the British Kronospan Ltd. to the wholesale company Continental Wood on June 1, 2015 and was appointed Group Managing Director. Continental Wood was renamed Bergs Timber UK as of January 1, 2019 as part of the integration of the higher-level Norvik Timber Industry (NTI) into the Swedish Bergs Timber AB.
In addition to Continental Wood, Bergs Timber acquired three NTI production sites in Estonia and Latvia from the Icelandic timber and trading group Norvik in April 2018.
