During the fourth quarter of 2019, a total of 2.59 million m³ of sawn softwood was produced in Finland, 13.9% less than in the same quarter of the previous year. After the increase in production in the first quarter (+2.9%), the decline in the second (-3.6%) and the stable production in the third quarter, the total sawn timber production for the whole of 2019 amounts to 11.36 million m³. Compared to 2018, Finland thus produced 3.8% less sawn softwood.
