Current information suggests that two chipping lines in a sawmill hall run by Holzwerke Pröbstl were completely destroyed by a major fire in the early hours of 31 May 2012. It is not entirely clear whether parts of the technology to cut long wood, delivered by Linck Holzbearbeitungstechnik in 1997, or the short wood chipping line supplied by Esterer WD in 2006 can be repaired. The hall, which is at risk of collapsing, will first have to be removed before a more precise assessment can be made. However, the blaze did not affect the roundwood yard, large-density sawmill, wood drying systems and machinery to make finger-jointed carcassing, gluelam timber, duo/trio beams and the pellet plant.
