British A&J Scott is replacing the existing canter/double-arbour circular saw at its sawmill in Wooperton with a fully-refurbished Reducer Quad Bandsaw from Söderhamn Eriksson. A Catech 400-type edging line fitted with a three-bladed sawbox is being installed downstream of this instead of the edger being used at the moment. A 3D control system supplied by Milltech includes the log in-feed unit fitted with an MPM scanner. Milltech is also installing a control system for disposal of the residual wood. The systems are scheduled to be installed at the end of 2015.
