US plant manufacturer Astec seeks new CEO

Benjamin Brock, President and CEO of US engineering manufacturer Astec Industries, resigned from his position and from the Board of Directors on January 21. The Board of Directors has appointed Richard Dorris, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) since 2014, as interim CEO until a successor is found. In addition, William D. Geh was appointed Chairman of the Board. Brock worked for Astec for a total of 26 years, during the past five years as President and CEO.

According to the latest quarterly report, Astec reported a 2% decrease in net sales to US$854.6m and a net loss of US$13.6m for the first nine months of the 2018 fiscal year.
