More timber traders taken over by Cairngorm Capital

British Cairngorm Capital Partners took over the timber trading company North Yorkshire Timber (NYTimber) on 15 February. When this deal was closed, the investment company NYTimber merged with the timber merchant Thornbridge Sawmills which was also taken over only recently in November 2017.

NYTimber has eight facilities in northeast England and North Yorkshire. A focal point of NYTimber’s timber trading activity is on products for roof trusses and roofs. A central warehouse with sizing and wood-impregnation facilities is operated in Brompton on Swale for this purpose. NYTimber’s range of products also includes construction elements and imported hardwood timber. NYTimber generated sales revenue of 18m £ with roughly 200 employees in 2017.
