The US DIY-superstore operator Lowe's took over ATG Stores, an online retailer of home improvement and lifestyle products at the end of December 2011. ATG is to remain an independent subsidiary of the Lowe's group and will maintain separate branding. ATG was founded in 1999 and now operates more than 500 websites offering around 3.5 million products including furniture and garden furniture, flooring, lighting as well as fittings and faucets, among other things.
