Italian Biesse Group raised its earnings more than its revenues in the 2014 financial year. A trend that emerged in 2013 has thus intensified. Net revenues had dipped by 1.2 % in 2013, but surged by 12.9 % to €427.1m last year. The Wood division was responsible for 72.4 %, the Glass/Stone division for 15.5 % and the Mechatronics division for 14.8 %. About 10.4 % of total revenues was generated in Italy, 29.5 % in the rest of Western Europe and 19.7 % in Eastern Europe. Biesse reported that North America contributed 14 % of turnover, with the Asia-Pacific region adding 19.9 % and the rest of the world 6.8 %. The proportion of turnover generated in Brazil, Russia, India and China slipped from 17.7 % to 13.4 % last year.
