Nobia quarterly turnover down by 1.2%

22.02.2018 −

In the fourth quarter of 2017, turnover of Swedish Nobia decreased by 1.2% vis à vis the comparative period of the preceding year to SEK3.116bn. Organically, turnover remained stable. As shown in the quarterly report published on 6 February, the decline is exclusively due to the 9.2% decrease in turnover to SEK1.286bn in Great Britain. This turnover decline, according to CEO Morten Falkenberg, ensues from the gradual reduction in supply to Homebase by Nobia company Interior Solutions over the course of the preceding year. Nobia has subsequently also discontinued business operations of Interior Solutions. Turnover generated in project business and via kitchen specialist Magnet in Great Britain also decreased in the fourth quarter.

Turnover in northern and central Europe, in contrast, increased. In northern Europe an increase of 5% to SEK1.690bn was achieved. In central Europe, Nobia recorded turnover growth of 7.7% to SEK140m in the fourth quarter. This growth was due to a higher demand in Austria as well as increased export turnover.
