Forte: Late deliveries curb rise in turnover

In 2017, according to in-company information, some inefficient internal processes as well as insufficient production capacity led to delays in the delivery of orders at Polish Fabryki Mebli Forte. As announced by the company in its report for the 2017 financial year published on 5 April 2018, incoming orders increased significantly in the second half of the year.

One reason for this was that important customers who had held back their orders in the first half of the year, because they were still negotiating conditions, subsequently placed a more significant number of orders in the second half of the year. Another reason, according to Forte, was that the number of orders increased due to expansion of the product range from 3,300 to 3,400 products. Consequently it was not possible to complete some of the orders before the end of the financial year. Forte’s consolidated turnover in the 2017 financial year, according to the final figures, therefore only amounted to PLN1.096bn (+0.5%) or €258.3m.
