Steico again shows slight growth in turnover

In the 2012 financial year the insulating-panel manufacturer Steico generated slightly higher turnover year on year. However, the increase of 1.2% to €146.5m was significantly less than that achieved in the previous year, when Steico‘s revenues showed year-on-year growth of 11.2%. Turnover in Germany was up by 8.3% to €50.4m. Revenues generated in the EU totalled €81.3m, while other countries accounted for €14.8m). The share of turnover generated abroad therefore declined to 65.6% (67.9%). In Great Britain and France, turnover stagnated at €21.5m and €18.8m, respectively. Steico suffered a further fall in revenues of 4.8% to €14.3m in Austria, Switzerland and Italy, after those regions had achieved turnover of €18.4m in 2010. In Poland, turnover improved again slightly to €12.4m, but still fell short of the €13.2m reached in 2010. The remaining regions of Western Europe, which include the Benelux region in particular, and Scandinavia, showed a weaker trend again in 2012, after significant growth had been achieved in 2011. Turnover reached €11.6m in the rest of Western Europe, and €11.4m in Scandinavia, while the rest of Eastern Europe accounted for €3.6m and overseas markets for €2.7m.
