Profine Group acquires Synseal plant in the UK
The window and door profile manufacturer Profine acquired a plant in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire from British Aperture Trading with effect from 20 May. The Legend, Synerjy, Evolve, Calibre Doors, Norvik New Build and WarmCore brands were also transferred as part of the transaction. The remaining assets belonging to Aperture and the firm formerly known as Synseal Group have thus been transferred to Profine. The news website East Midland Business Link reported that Profine also retained the 38 workers recently employed in Huthwaite. Profine plans to increase its workforce to around 100 people.
The acquisition means that Profine now has the first production facility of its own in the UK. The plant resumed operations in mid-May under a new name: Profine UK. Its equipment includes more than 20 extrusion lines, its own mixing plant and several foiling and injection moulding systems. The Huthwaite site will mainly make Kömmerling brand products, along with marketing individual products from the Aperture portfolio
