In the first quarter, the Finnish company Ponsse showed year-on-year turnover growth of 26% to €115.1m, thereby achieving improvement for the sixth quarter in succession. This was also the highest first-quarter turnover in the last five years. In its latest business report, Ponsse emphasises what from the company's perspective is the favourable trend in sales of forestry machines in North and South America. The operating result for the latest reporting period was up by 66% to €12.1m. Profit before tax increased by 72% to €9.5m.
