US-American Masonite International Corp invested about USD13m in buying all shares in the wood door wholesaler and processor USA Wood Door on 1 October. USA Wood Door currently employs about 50 workers and recently generated revenues of about USD18m. Besides its whole-sale operations geared towards the east of the US, USA Wood Door also has its own processing and refining technology at its 5,600m² headquarters in Thorofare. The firm is thus able to meet special customer requests. Even before the take-over, Masonite’s Algoma and Mohawk brand doors were among the most popular products in USA Wood Door’s standard range. The company’s portfolio of products also includes a wide range of interior doors, speciality doors and frames.
