WeberHaus increased turnover by 7.3% in 2020

Prefabricated house manufacturer WeberHaus was able to continue its turnover growth of the past ten years in the 2020 financial year. According to the business figures presented on 20 May, the sale of just over 700 properties generated total turnover - adjusted to account for turnover tax - of €280m, which is also the highest turnover in the history of the company. Turnover has increased by almost 91% since 2010. The export proportion, at 10%, remained stable vis à vis the level of the preceding year. According to the company, the proportion of total turnover accounted for by property construction amounted to 6.3% and was thus still at a relatively low level. Although incoming orders and orders in hand were higher in comparison to 2019, no specific information was provided.

No noteworthy corona-related disruptions in production were recorded last year; short-time work was introduced only for around 20 employees from the world of living segment, which remains closed. The number of employees increased by almost 4% to currently 1,281, of which 1,006 are based in Rheinau-Linx and 275 in Wenden-Hünsborn, North Rhine-Westphalia. For the current year, WeberHaus anticipates a further increase to approximately 1,337 employees. A change in the management also took place at the beginning of the year. Wolfgang Weber took over management of the sales and marketing division in place of Peter Liehner, who went into retirement.
