Trex posts another double-digit rise in revenues

29.06.2020 −

The US WPC decking and building product manufacturer Trex generated consolidated revenues of US$200.4m in the first three months. However, this growth was smaller than in previous quarters (Q3: +16.9%, Q4: 17.7%) with an 11.6% year-on-year increase. On the other hand, EBITDA (+38.5% to US$59.0m) climbed at a similar rate to the two previous quarters. Net profits (+34.4% to US$42.4m) did not increase as much because of higher tax payments (Q3: +42.4%, Q4: +41.0%).

Trex said that a project to increase its capacity is currently running on schedule. Three new production lines in Fernley, Nevada will be commissioned by the end of the quarter. The company has so far not experienced any delays in the construction of a decking plant in Winchester. These projects swallow up the majority of 2020’s investment budget of US$140m-160m.
