Stora Enso has completed sale of Pfarrkirchen

05.03.2020 −

The Finnish company Stora Enso has completed the sale of Stora Enso Timber GmbH at its Pfarrkirchen location, announced on January 8. The new owner of the plant is the LEO II-VV1 GmbH fund managed by the private equity company Dubag - Deutsche Unternehmensbeteiligungen. All 90 employees were taken over. The company was renamed Lignopan Holzwerke Pfarrkirchen GmbH upon completion of the takeover.

According to Stora Enso, the sale should not have any impact on the Group's operating result (EBIT) or net debt, but will reduce annual sales by around €40 million. As a result of the sale, the KVH capacity within the group will be concentrated at Zdirec and will be reduced by 145,000 m³ to 220,000 m³/year.
