Lunawood has reorganized management of its plants

07.09.2018 −

Finnish thermowood manufacturer Lunawood has reorganised the management of its three production sites with effect from 22 August. Jari Pasanen has taken over the management of the Iisalmi plant. He was previously responsible for production there and in his new position will succeed Henry Mantsinen, who will leave the company on 20 September after more than nine years.

The Hammaslahti plant near Joensuu has been managed by Hannu Konttinen since March. He had moved from the sawmill company FM Timber to Lunawood. The thermowood plant in Kaskinen is managed by Ismo Leppäniemi. In addition to the plant management, Leppäniemi also took over the purchasing management for the entire company on 22 August, with the exception of sawn timber procurement, as well as responsibility for occupational safety. The three plant managers each report to Matti Lehmuskorpi, who has been COO at Lunawood since the beginning of the year. Lehmuskorpi joined Lunawood in June 2013 from UPM-Kymmene's sawmill division.

In addition to the changes in the individual mills, Simo Kokkonen joined the logistics department at the company's headquarters in Iisalmi on September 1. He reports to Supply Chain Manager Eila Härkin, who has been in this position since 2007.
