Ladenburger plans to start pellet production in 2020

03.01.2020 −

Over the course of the second half of 2020 Ladenburger Group intends to commission its first pellet plant within the group at the Bopfingen location. According to the group, the plant is to have an annual capacity of approximately 30,000t. Production is initially to be limited to pellets in bulk form in A1 quality and sold to the local fuel trade. Wood shavings accumulated during glue-laminated lumber production at the location as well as sawdust from the 650,000m³ sawmill in neighbouring Kerkingen are to be used as the raw material basis for the pellet production. Salmatec is building the plant as general contractor. The group has not disclosed any information concerning the investment volume.
