Häggmark invests SKR50m in prefab-house plant

Swedish Häggmark & Söner which is primarily engaged in contract building, is to invest a total of roughly SKR50m in the building of a prefabricated-house plant in Sunne (Värmland, Sweden) by autumn 2018. According to a report by NWT, the building of the plant, where 25 new jobs are initially to be created by the start of production, is to be commenced at the end of the summer holidays.

Chairman Bengt Häggmark states that the project, planning for which had started a good year ago, is being subsidised by the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket). CEO Benny Olsson reports that the new plant, which will trade as Hägglunds Marks ByggModul, is to produce mainly residential-building modules with the greatest possible degree of prefabrication. Häggmark states that the main aim here is the reduction of working time on building sites.
