29.10.2018 −

608,000 t of pellets were produced in Germany in the third quarter, roughly 6.1 % more than in the same quarter of last year. After the increases in the first (+8.9 %) and second quarter (+11.2 %), Germany’s output of pellets in the first nine months amounted to 1.788m t, roughly 8.7 % more than a year earlier. Almost exclusively (99.3 %) ENplus A1 pellets were produced in the third quarter, too. As in the preceding quarter, bagged pellets accounted for 24 % of the total. Producers’ export share (13.4 %) was three percentage points below the second quarter but was still two percentage points higher than last year’s level.
