Further slowing in growth of German pellet output

14.11.2017 −

After growth rates of 28.1% in the first and 13.7% in the second quarter, the German output of pellets in the third quarter was also higher than at the same time last year whereby the rate of growth was similar to the preceding quarter at +13.3% to 573,000 t. Surveys performed by DEPV show that 99.8% of the output in the third quarter was accounted for by A1-grade ENplus-certified pellets. 99.7% of the raw material comprised softwoods.

The German output of pellets in the first nine months thus amounted to 1.645m t, which equates to an increase of roughly 17.9% against a year earlier.
