Finnish pellet production 11% down in 2020

Roughly 322,000 t of pellets were produced in Finland in 2020 as a whole, equating to a reduction of 11 % against the previous year. Figures published by the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) show that the exports of 30,000 t fell to 7,000 t whereas imports rose by 12 % to 112,000 t. By consumer groups, the governing role in Finland is still played by large-scale plants. They consumed 250,000 t of the domestic output. Domestic heating systems only accounted for 49,000 t.
