Donaldson has taken over Cambridge Roof Truss

12.11.2018 −

The timber construction company Donaldson Timber Engineering, which belongs to the Scottish sawmill group James Donaldson & Sons, acquired Cambridge Roof Truss on November 1. Founded in 2014, Cambridge Roof Truss, like Donaldson Timber Engineering, is focused on the construction of roof trusses for construction companies.

The acquisition will enable Donaldson Timber Engineering to increase its manufacturing capacity and expand its sales territory. The integration of Cambridge Roof Truss is expected to be completed during the coming financial year. Until then, the company will continue to operate under its current name under the management of Sue Mills. The 29 employees will continue to be employed by Donaldson. A doubling of production capacity has already been announced for the coming year.
