Dasso working with Barth since separation from Moso

18.12.2018 −

Chinese Hangzhou Dasso Bamboo Technology (Dasso) and Dutch Moso International have ended their collaboration. In future Moso will acquire the Bamboo X-treme decking, formerly supplied within the scope of the cooperation, from the former joint venture partner of Dasso in future. As a reciprocal measure, Dasso has transferred general sales of the decking range in the DACH region to trading company F.W. Barth.

Termination of the long-term cooperation is principally due to the structural changes being implemented at Dasso. According to information from Moso, the Chinese company no longer holds its 51% share in decking plant in Fujian province, at which the Bamboo X-treme product is manufactured. Since then, Moso has been supplied by the co-shareholder of this plant, who now holds all shares. Part of the separation agreement was obviously the fact that both co-shareholders hold the production process rights for thermally modified bamboo decking. The original patent for this process is held by Dasso (European patent EP 2 269 788). According to in-company information, Moso owns the rights to the name for Bamboo X-treme and intends to continue sales in Europe under this name.
