Brüninghoff to start selling Metsä’s Kerto LVL

Metsä Group and the commercial construction project specialist Brüninghoff Group have forged a sales partnership for LVL made by Metsä Wood and sold under the Kerto name. According to a non-exclusive agreement announced on 21 April, Brüninghoff will distribute LVL products in Germany and neighbouring countries, such as the Benelux region.

Brüninghoff Holz, which has three locations at its Heiden headquarters and in Villingen-Schwenningen and Niemberg, has previously processed small quantities of Kerto LVL into solid timber construction systems. According to the firm, demand from customers has shown strong growth in the past year. This turn of events caused the firm to engage in dialogue with Metsä about a more in-depth partnership. The framework conditions were fleshed out in a letter of intent in autumn. The company will first initially existing storage capacity in Heiden and Villingen-Schwenningen for trading, which has now begun. Kerto LVL Q-panels with rabbets in a 1.20 x 13 m format and 39, 51 or 69 mm thick are currently available there at short notice. All of the products requested by customers should also be on stock in Niemberg in the medium term once work to expand its storage space has been completed.
