MDF/HDF prices set to rise again before the end of the first quarter

29.01.2011 −

Central Europe‘s MDF/HDF manufacturers managed to charge more for their products from January, even though demand has been rather subdued in the recent past. Therefore, manufacturers had been able to implement their asking prices for the most part. A number of MDF/HDF manufacturers felt that these latest price increases were still not large enough to compensate for the rise in costs over the past year. This issue was being exacerbated by the fact that wood and adhesive costs had jumped even more than expected at the start of the New Year.
