Homann boosts half-year sales revenue by 32%

According to the provisional figures published on 7 September, at €156.9m, sales revenue generated by Homann Holzwerkstoffe in the first half-year was almost a third higher than in the corresponding period of the preceding year that had been impaired by the corona crisis. The €140.2m generated in the first half of 2019 was exceeded by almost 12%. The growth achieved in all of the company’s works and sales markets more than compensated for the corona-related reduction of 16.3% registered in sales revenue a year earlier. From the basis of the €24.8m reached in the first half-year 2019, adjusted EBITDA was 20.2% last year at €19.8m. Adjusted EBITDA rose to €32.5m in the first six months of this year, exceeding the previous year’s figure by 64% and the result of two years ago by 31%.

According to the managing partner Fritz Homann, the positive trend in the first half-year continued in July and August. He is also working from the assumption that demand for thin MDF/HDF boards and value-added products will remain at a high level throughout the second half-year.
