Homann adhering to sales and results targets for 2017

18.10.2017 −

After the rather sluggish development in results in the first half-year, due above all to increases in glue costs, German Homann is aiming to raise its EBITDA considerably in the second half of the year. The purpose of this is to achieve the EBITDA target of 38m € that was declared at the start of this year for 2017 as a whole. The company is also sticking to its forecasted sales revenue of 240m €. In its business year 2016, Homann had achieved 11.6% growth in sales revenue to 225.5 €; total EBITDA fell slightly short of the planned 33m € at 31.4m €.

The half-year report published on 28 September shows that sales revenue was raised by another 13.5% by the end of June to 129.5m €. Adjusted for the new company Homanit Building Materials founded on 1 March and not consolidated until after this date, sales revenue rose by 10%. The company, whose acquisition added insulation materials and door panels to Homann’s range of products, contributed 4.0m € to this result, though a loss was recorded to the tune of almost 0.5m €. Revenue generated from sales of MDF/HDF assortments rose to 125.5m €.
