Egger: New short-cycle press in St. Johann has started up

21.01.2019 −

In December, the Egger Group put its fifth short-cycle press into operation at its main plant in St. Johann, Austria. The plant was supplied by Siempelkamp and, like the Siempelkamp short-cycle press in operation since December 2013, will produce boards with single and double synchronous pore ("Feelwood") and compact boards.

At the particleboard plant in Brilon, one of the five short-cycle presses is currently being replaced by a new plant supplied by Wemhöner. Commissioning is scheduled for March. In the second quarter, a Siempelkamp short-cycle press will go into operation at the Rambersvillers particleboard plant in France, which will also replace one of the existing plants.
