Segezha orders complete plywood plant from Raute

Segezha Group will be setting up a new plywood works in the frame of a greenfield project in Galich in the Kostroma region. Raute has been awarded the contract for supply the whole facility. Segezha had placed the order for the engineering for a birch plywood plant at the beginning of August. As Raute had anticipated at that time, the engineering order has meanwhile led to corresponding orders for plant and machinery.

According to a release published by Raute on 1 October, the order worth a total of 58m € is the biggest individual order in the company’s history. It will be handled by the Finnish facilities and by the Chinese subsidiary. The order covers all the production facilities required for operating the plywood works. The annual production capacity is given as 125,000 m³. The ordered plant and machinery is due for delivery in 2020, followed by the start-up in summer 2021.
