Structural panel prices have receded slightly on North American markets since the start of July after rising sharply in recent months. Softwood plywood prices are falling more than OSB prices. Fairly substantial regional variations are also evident for OSB. According to Random Lengths, FOB mill prices for 15/32” southern yellow pine plywood tumbled by US$35/1,000 sqft in the final week of June. One week later, they plunged by another US$160.
