The European Panel Federation (EPF) intends to hold its general meeting - which was switched to an online event in 2020 and 2021 due to the corona crisis - as an in-person event within its normal scope again this year. Ghent (Belgium) has been selected as the location for the event; the date has been set for 30 June to 1 July. The event is to be organised by the Belgian industry association Federatie van de Textiel-, Hout- en Meubelindustrie (Fedustria) with support from the two Belgian wood-based panels manufacturers Unilin and Norbord.
In each of the past two years, Berlin was planned as the venue. A festive evening celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Verband der deutschen Holzwerkstoffindustrie (VHI) - founded in 1920 - had also been foreseen within the scope of each of the EPF general meetings. However, both events were cancelled several months prior to the scheduled date.
