German speciality plywood manufacturer Delignit delivered a 21 % upturn in revenues to €42.7m in the 2014 financial year, according to preliminary information. Both of its divisions contributed towards this strong growth in turnover. For the Automotive division, last year marked the first time that DHK Automotive GmbH and HTZ Holztrocknung GmbH, two firms based in Oberlungwitz that Delignit acquired on 1 October 2013 allowing it to enter the market for car interiors, were consolidated for a full year. In addition, Delignit started serving a manufacturer of lightweight commercial vehicles in 2014. The Technological Applications division mainly benefited from a major contract with the Japanese rail vehicle producer Hitachi to equip 122 high-speed trains with flooring solutions.
