Teknos plans to relocate its German plants to new site

11.10.2021 −

Teknos Group intends to establish a new production facility in Steinau an der Straße, in the German state of Hesse. For this purpose, the company acquired an 11.9 ha plot of land on 20 September. According to Teknos, the signing of the purchase contract means the company has entered the planning phase of the greenfield project. Production is scheduled to commence within the next three years.

Teknos currently operates three plants in Germany. The company, with its approximately 200 employees, produces paint coating systems in the form of wet and powder coatings in Fulda, Brüggen and Alzenau. These are sold in the metal, wood and powder coatings market segments. Industrial processors are the primary target customers. In February 2020, Teknos announced its plans to build a new production location in Germany. After commissioning, the operational business of the existing sites is to be transferred to the new facility. According to the newspaper Fuldaer Zeitung, all currently employed persons are to be offered jobs in Steinau an der Straße.
