US-American Axalta Coating Systems has increased its capacity to make wood coatings. Towards the end of 2017, the firm rented a hall with a total area of 55,808 sqft in the Northern Stacks industrial complex in Fridley, Minnesota. One third of this area is to be used to make wood coatings.
The first production tests are to be carried out on technology installed to date in June. According to a press release issued in mid-May, available wood coatings capacity will jump by more than 3 m gallons as a result.
