Mixed tendencies in EPLF membership

14.02.2020 −

Additional changes have occurred among the ranks of members of the association European Producers of Laminate Flooring (EPLF) at the beginning of 2020. HDM and the joint venture Laminate Park are no longer ordinary members. HDM stopped making laminate flooring in Möckern in August 2019 after entering insolvency proceedings in October 2018. Laminate Park ceased manufacturing during the fourth quarter after a divestment decision was made in February 2019.

According to the EPLF, it now has 18 ordinary members. However, brands within Unilin bvba, namely Quick-Step, Pergo and Balterio are listed as separate members again. The EPLF had previously said that these memberships were combined during 2016. If this practice continued, the EPLF has just 16 ordinary members.

The last new addition was the Ukrainian MDF/HDF and laminate flooring manufacturer Rezult Ukraine in early 2019. The association gained new extraordinary members at the start of 2020: Deurowood, I4F Patents & Technology, Flooring Industries and Wester Mineralien. However, Dekor-Kunststoffe (DKB) left the organisation at the end of 2019. The EPLF has 23 extraordinary members and an unchanged number of 10 supporting members.
