Masonite has acquired Bridewater Wholesalers Inc.

US-American door manufacturer Masonite has taken over the production and trading company Bridgewater Wholesalers (BWI). The transaction was handled as an asset deal; the purchase price was set at US$ 23 million less the cash acquired.

BWI has a total of around 350 employees at five locations. The manufacturing activities primarily relate to the customer-specific finishing of doors, which are purchased from Masonite, among others. In addition to its headquarters in Branchburg, the company operates a plant in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, and three sales offices in Mechanicsburg/ Pennsylvania, Leomister, Massachusetts, and Binghamton, New York.

BWI offers interior and exterior doors for living areas. The product portfolio includes interior doors made of wood and wood-based panels as well as exterior doors made of wood, fibreglass and steel. Masonite has been one of BWI's main suppliers for many years.
