Pinnacle: Another pellet deal with Japanese customer

Canadian Pinnacle Renewable Energy has concluded a long-term take-or-pay off-take contract with Japanese Hanwa for an annual volume of 75,000 t if industrial pellets. The contract term begins in early 2022. No details have been disclosed about the duration of the term of the value of deal.

The conclusion of the contract, announced on 22 May, is meanwhile Pinnacle’s fourth long-term contract with a Japanese customer. Long-term contracts worth 575m CAD had already been concluded in Japan in the early months of 2018. Pinnacle’s CEO Robert McCurdy quotes the current total order backlog across the whole list of customers at around 3.8bn CAD; the value had still been 3.0bn CAD on 30 March.
