Jeld-Wen acquires interior door manufacturer Mattiovi

20.07.2017 −

US-American Jeld-Wen has acquired complete ownership of Finnish Mattiovi. According to a statement published on 30 June by the former majority shareholder Taaleri, an investment company, all shares in Mattiovi have been transferred to Finnish subsidiary Jeld-Wen Suomi.

Taaleri formerly owned 80% of shares, whereby 60% were held in a fund and a further 20% in the subsidiary Taaleri Sijoitus. The remaining 20% was owned by Mattiovi management. By means of the transaction Taaleri recorded a special profit of some €3m in June.

Taaleri became involved in Mattiovi approximately three and a half years ago. In October 2013 the company took over a majority share from Panostaja. According to Taaleri, Mattiovi is the largest interior door manufacturer in Finland, with two plants in Laitila and Alavus as well as a door frame plant in Posio.
