Finnish lumber exports decline by 2% in June

Finnish exports of rough-sawn and planed softwood lumber showed year-on-year decline in June 2012 of 2% to roughly 546,000 m³. The Finnish Forest Industries Federation reports that softwood lumber deliveries to countries outside Europe showed growth of 11% to 276,000 m³ and therefore increased their share in total exports to 51%. Exports to Japan were up by 5% to 66,000 m³ and deliveries to Algeria more than doubled to 50,000 m³.
